The Corruption Virus was the virus responsible for spreading the Corruption's grasp. It mutates tissue both dead and living, integrating the organism into the Corruption's hivemind.
While it was assumed extinct in 2122, the Qualdron Alignment managed to engineer a new strain of the Corruption Virus from isloated Death Plague genes in 2125 for use as a bio-weapon in the Empire-Alignment War.
This new Corruption strain was eventually wiped out by the Waspcaela Empire the same year.
