Dvergr

The Dvergr are a evolutionary fork of the human species created by the Nomad Program. The result of genetic manipulation, the Dvergr have been bio-formed to be better cope with high gravity environments and are characterized by short and broad stature compared to normal humans.

History

The Dvergr are the result of genetic modification by the humans of the Nomad Program after they found their space-oriented genetic profile, the Alfr, to be unsuitable for world colonization. Among the changes made were the addition of thicker bones, shorter stature, coarser hair, a stronger vascular system, thicker skin and improved resistance to toxins and venoms.

In their early days, while most were still in service to the Nomad Project, individuals of Dvergr race were primarily relegated for colonization and planetary explanation. In this time, many became dissatisfied with their social status and role in society, believing that they were being taken advantage of by the Alfr administrators. This would cause a majority of Dvergr to secede from the Nomad Project to form their own nation, where a majority of Dvergr reside to this day.
