The Grand Order of Avalon (also known as the GOA) is an authoritarian empire ruled over by a singular artificial intelligence known as the Overmind. It is most prominently known for its ruthless pace of scientific progression, transhumanist religion, and its ominously aggressive levels of expansion and propaganda within the Andromeda Galaxy.
To live in this empire is to be indoctrinated into its AI cult at birth. Citizens willingly give their newborn children to the Overmind, so that they may be cybernetically augmented, and raised in special facilities designed to facilitate the upbringing of the next generation. These children grow up knowing no familial connections other than the AI overseers, whom they are taught to revere as benevolent divine patrons.
