High K'Kero

High K'Kero is a hidden, space-bound super-habitat that serves as the capital and main population center for the Ashderian Regime. It is located in orbit of an unspecified and particularly violent magnetar in the galactic core of the Milky Way Galaxy.

Defenses

High K'Kero's first line of defense is its nearly impenetrable positioning. A large volume of space (to the order of about 1.58 light-hours) around High K'Kero is protected by jump-jammers that prevent Veil-travelers from emerging at accessible distances to the structure. Those that do emerge outside the jammers cannot make it to High K'Kero without destruction or crew-death due to the extremely high energy emissions from the magnetar and the travel time required at sub-light speeds. Whatever cannot be stopped by these measures will be met by the specialized shield that protects High K'Kero from the magnetar and high velocity stellar matter.

In addition to being the dry-dock for a large portion of the Regime's warfleet, High K'Kero possesses a massive number of directed energy, projectile, missile and torpedo weapons to defend against an attack. Should anything else make it past the natural defenses and shield, these weapons will destroy the already softened targets.

Entry and Exit

Currently, ingress and egress is only possible through the Cybil's River jump gate pair. The jumpgates are operated on a randomly rotating dimensional frequency that correlates with the jump-jammers, allowing Veil-travelers to utilize the connected wormhole to traverse the space. The jump-gates are re-dialed every thirty minutes so that pinning down the correct frequency is excessively hard.
