Rei (otherwise known as Theta 2), is a member of the Vigilant and one of the five affiliated with Project Theta.
Her primary role within the group is to serve as an anti-horde/anti-armor unit, as her hot-headed tendencies make her a great berserker in the heat of battle.
Her secondary role is that of a distraction unit. The fact that she sets aflame when enraged and never leaves the face of her opponents tends to make her a prime target to most people.
Appearance
- Having rough skin of a pale brown quality, Rei is described as being adorned in a midnight black suit of armor. In truth, these are actually naturally grown verrite plates.
- She stands at about 7' 6"
- Aside from her cybernetic eyes, Rei's extensive cybernetic modification is not very noticeable from afar, but as her anger and proximity increase, the augments rapidly become more noticeable.
- Rei's artificial eyes glow a burning blood red that increase in intensity with her anger.
- Her most preferred kind of attire is a tank top and a set of military-issued cargo pants. Both pieces of apparel can be a multitude of different colors though they all still bear an identification badge on the left side of the chest.
- She has a small slash scar on the left side of her bottom lip, a deep combat knife scar under her right eye, and a small slash scar on her left brow.
Personality
The only thing preventing Rei from consuming everything around her in white-hot flames is an implant within her temporal lobe that acts as an emotional suppressant. This device, while containing her burning rage is also a double-edged sword, as when the implant is active she is left in a state of irritable depression. Her inability to connect with anyone doesn't help much, and more often than not leads to further her issues with substance abuse; the forms of which she partakes involving a certain liquid depressant, and smoking, which can be linked to a human product recently imported to the Fleet, the cigarette.
In addition, her augmentations are considered experimental when compared to other members of Theta. They can be noted to cause such side-effects as vertigo and mild cases of discomfort, which can lead to insomnia at times. When combined with her frequent night terrors, it's safe to say that she doesn't get much sleep at all.
