Vasacar

Vasacar is an umbrella term for a wide variety of related organisms that are biologically descended from the ancient Kirone, who genetically altered themselves to better suit their numerous worlds. Upon their civilization's collapse the uncounted strains of altered beings, who were robbed of their technology, degenerated into tribal civilizations that, over long periods of time, evolved into new species. They are most prevalent in the Andromeda Galaxy, though they have been found in lesser numbers in the Milky Way Galaxy.
