The Viirnok are a crocodilian species that hail from the hazard world of Drinox, and are known primarily for their brutish strength and straight-forward logic.
Physical Description
The Viirnok are hulking reptilian predators, easily reaching heights of 12 feet or above, and reaching weights of 3500-4000lbs by adulthood. Inherently monstrous in appearance, the species can often be overlooked as non-sentient upon first glance.
Metabolism
Despite their remarkable physical attributes, the Viirnok are often seen as clumsy, slow, and dull-witted. This however is far from the truth, as with such an incredible body mass the ability to conserve the amount of energy spent during physical exertion is paramount to their species survival. Viirnok are capable of accelerating their metabolic rate for short periods of time, becoming much quicker paced in both physique and mental instinct. The downside to this is that they expend an extraordinary amount of energy doing so, and is generally considered impracticable unless an abundant food source is nearby.
