Voyakarai

Voyakarai was a life-filled planet in the Milky Way Galaxy and the former capital world of the Vokyran Ascendancy.

History

Voyakarai was the first world settled by the Ashderians after the fall of the Currai Imperium. The world was chosen for its high levels of biological compatibility with the Ashderian species, a streak of luck which has been vexing to Ashderians to this day. Over the course of 500 years and several Ashderian nations, the world was sculpted in large (and small) ways to make it more palatable to the Ashderian species. The final, and most major change to take place was a 240-year long mega-project which turned the planet into a shell-world. This was to increase surface area and to serve as a monument to their achievements; technological, political and otherwise. The world was lost during the Fall of Voyakarai, where the Tyriit launched a massive attack against the Vokyran Ascendancy and its allies.

Structural Topography

Voyakarai was slowly being converted into a shell-world; a planet with a massive, artificially hollowed-out underground surface. Five major entrances to this underground surface were marked by giant, artificial cylindrical pits with space-elevators at the center. Various other entrances existed around the planet. The planet had just under double the surface area that a standard habitable planet of its size typically has.

Current Condition

The world is currently covered in the ruins of civilization from the Vokyran Ascendancy. The world remains habitable, though all attempts to resettle by the large, organized factions have been systematically wiped out. The planet has become home to various smaller pirate factions, PMC groups, and frontiers-people looking for a garden world to settle, all to the ire of the Ashderian Regime, who will sometimes initiate small-time operations outside of the Voyakarai's star system to disrupt the outsiders dwelling on their world.
