Ascending Eagle

The Ascending Eagle, otherwise known as the Ru-Daeriit, is a high-speed governmental-blockade runner currently used by officials in the Vokyran Ascendancy and personnel within the Syndicate. The frigate was originally intended to carry governmental officials through hazardous space, though its role has been greatly expanded passed its original mission parameters.

History

The Ascending Eagle started life as a governmental transport built in response to the Fall of Voyakarai. Having lost many high-ranking figures to the onslaught of the Tyriit, the Vokyran Ascendancy decided it needed an exceptionally fast, highly-survivable frigate to transport important figures. The ship was soon thereafter designed and built by the most talented artisans and artificers in the Ascendancy. The spacecraft would see very little use, however, as the Ascendancy would become extremely secluded and insular, rendering the need to maneuver through enemy territory useless. The ship would remain in storage until a malcontent Ashderian named Phar'annica Kirakoy stole it when he exiled himself from the Ascendancy. Despite being a valuable piece of technology and a highly-advanced spacecraft at that, the Sahldari deemed it an "acceptable loss" and broke off pursuit after only two weeks.

In Phar’annic’s hands, the ship would see use not only as a multi-purpose colony utility ship, but a piracy vessel. It would serve as such until being shot down by the Corruption, crash-landing in an ocean on Terreki, shields still active. After a few years, the Vokyran Ascendancy recovered the ship as their First Fleet battled the Corruption throughout the galaxy. When the Terreki Resistance joined the Armada of Namine's Fire, Phar'annic, alongside Vespid Heterodonyx, attempted to recover the ship for the Aramda only to find it had been previously recovered by the Ascendancy. After striking a deal with the Ascendancy that would see the First Fleet join the Armada of Namine's Fire, Phar'annic, to great joy, would once again be in command of the Ascending Eagle. The ship would distinguish itself as an invaluable asset during the crusade against the Corruption, serving alongside distinguished vessels such as the Dreary Contingency, Cold Oblivion, Aquilae, Surrendry, and others.

After the relative defeat of the Corruption and formation of the Syndicate, Nikanicreon Dara'croix, Sovereign Navarch of the Vokyran Ascendancy, would enlist Phar'annic as a personal viceroy and representative to the Syndicate. Phar'annic is no longer officially the commander of the Ascending Eagle, the ship falling into the role of personal transport for the Sovereign Commander. However, the vessel has consistently and repeatedly been used by Phar'annic on missions for the Syndicate, where it has relentlessly added to its distinguished, decades-long service record.
