The Boron Parasite was a parasitic organism assumed to be designed by Ashreksas to modify a Keilicaela's brain structure[1] for compatibility with the Hivemind Network.

- ↑ The Boron Parasite was a concept created before the Helminth. As such, when the Helminth was written, creating the concept of an ancient Keilicaela hivemind, it became canon that the Keilicaela already have the neural pathways in place for a hivemind with no parasitic modification necessary. This makes the canonicity of the Boron Parasite questionable, as its function is redundant given canonical Keilicaela biology. I have chosen to err on the side of caution and de-canonize the Boron Parasite for the time being.
