Fanning

Fanning is one of the habitable moons orbiting Rennault, and home of the Quarantine Reserve.

Biology

Fanning is a lush forest world, inhabited by a diverse but not well studied ecosystem. Scans by House Taulenix geneticists indicate the chances of intelligent complex life are low, however little resources are devoted to studying local populations.

Climate

Due to its size and relative closeness with its parent body, Fanning's climate remains temperate. Geological and gravitational processes keep the interior of the moon active, and an abundance of water circulates through the planet's biological and geological systems.

The Quarantine Reserve

The Reserve is a moon-wide special military designation, and functions as the personal playground for Taulenix geneticists. Ship transportation is not allowed near the world and is enforced by a network of Ancilla-controlled anti-ship defenses. The only way to reach the Reserve is through a transit of one of its sister moons using a gravity elevator.
