Kycelid is a Keilicaela currently working as a bartender aboard the Aquilae. He is a longtime friend to Sovereign Commander Nikanicreon Dara'croix and Antarress Celauku of the Ashderian Regime. Though Kycelid was born a citizen in the Empire of Namine's territory, he dubiously claims to have lived on Ilan (a planet whose climate would not support Keilicaelaac life) for the majority of his existence. It beggars the belief of most who listen to him that a Keilicaela would not only go a galaxy away from Namine, ending up in the heart of one of the Andromeda's most forbidding empires, but would then go from there to the service of the Ashderian Regime. If this is true, Kycelid just so happened to hold nonsimultaneous citizenship in three of the four powers that would go on to form the Syndicate (the Alarian Splinter being an offshoot of the Dominion of Ilan), adding another layer of coincidence to his story that many find difficult to stomach. Despite his dubious backstory, Nikan likes to keep Kycelid around, as he's one of a very few bartenders that has high enough security clearance for Nikan to chat casually with about sensitive matters. How this questionable keilisar managed to obtain an Ashderian Regime security clearance of such a high caliber is unclear, though this may explain his unlikely tales as a way of obfuscating information about himself that the Regime would rather not become public knowledge.

Personality

Kycelid is old but wise. He is easy going and slow to anger. He is well liked for his kindness as well as the witty but light sense of humor he possesses. Many believe he is wont to tell tall tales, but Kycelid claims he never lies.

Trivia

  • Kycelid is one of two Keilicaela crew members working aboard the Aquilae. The other is Chaldact, the vessel's science officer.
