Mozvok

The Mozvok are a species of giant bird native to Drayanus.

History

By and large, the Movzok have been domesticated by the Cherak thanks to religious edict from within their society. There are still many that roam wild, but they have become the Cherak standard when it comes to aerial combat on behalf of the extensive cybernetic augmentation that domesticated Mozvok undergo.

Extent of Cybernetics

A domesticated Mozvok is a lobotomized creature meant for complete control by a Cherak pilot. Once a cockpit harness is fused to the Mozvok's back, a computerized "control spike" is driven into the Mozvok's skull, overriding the cortex and giving all motor function to the cockpit's control panel--which is manipulated by a Cherak. The creature's eyes are removed and replaced with cameras that feed into the control panel, allowing a pilot the creature's perspective if he needs it. Four energy weapons are affixed to the creature--two under each wing--and wired into the control panel. The weapons fire explosive projectiles made of an unknown particle. The nature of the weapons reflects the Cherak species' need to destroy the Blackened Ones en-masse and from afar.
