Though its members would call it an "advocacy group," the forces of the Syndicate suspect the organization known as Purity to be a terrorist movement. The stated modus operandi of Purity is to protect the sanctity of the dead within the wrecked vessels of the Ghost Fleet, no matter the cost. Though Purity denies all allegations, Syndicate auditors believe that historical and contemporary cyberattacks against the Ghost Fleet's digital infrastructure were carried out by Purity and organizations like it. Such cyberattacks often target the Ghost Fleet's salvage drones, financial servers, ship manifests, payment ledgers, and customer records. Though Purity's supposed cyberattacks are sparse and often readily circumvented, Syndicate officials and Ghost Fleet administrators are wary of the group's capabilities--to say nothing of their potential to inspire other, more radical movements, or the possibility that attacks against the Ghost Fleet may one day become physical.
