Starburner
The Starburner model of spacecraft was manufactured by an unknown company associated with the Empire of Namine. Starburners are notable for their exceptional performance in-atmosphere when compared to other Keilicaela-manufactured spacecraft. As such, they are primarily used as aircraft that are capable of being deployed from orbit. Starburners have both fighter and bomber configurations that can be activated by the pilot at will.
Trivia
- In previous drafts, the Starburner was referred to as the "Death Angel." This was an unintentional reference to the thrash metal band of the same name. Bryan said this of it:
It's funny, because I didn't intend to name the Death Angel after Death Angel. I named the aircraft before I knew the band existed. I accept the reference as valid solely because I was browsing around YouTube one day, trying to find some music to listen to. Found a band called "Death Angel" and had a pretty good laugh. Fortunately, the band was damn good and is probably my favorite. I'll happily accept the reference label.
