Kleeos

The Kleeos are a species of non-corporeal lifeforms inhabiting specific species of humanoid. Typically, the non-corporeal lifeforms are referred to as the symbiote, with the humanoid lifeform serving as the host body referred to by their species name.

Physiology

The Kleeos exist as complex interactions of energies, and subatomic particles. While the Kleeos can influence energy and sub-atomic particles fairly easily, the beings cannot interact with matter in very many meaningful ways, as they are not strong enough to overcome the common nuclear forces. They can, however, interrupt and divert electron flows, allowing them to influence, and even control biological beings and computers with enough time, patience, and practice. No concrete proof has been found that the Veil of Webs has any factor in their physiology, with the exception of minor evidence and inferential signs.

History

The history of the development of the Kleeos is speculative, and is largely agreed to have taken place in this order:

• A star goes supernova, allowing for the complex interaction of energies which create the Kleeos. Potential Veil anomaly involved at this point.
• The Kleeos slowly spread out across their solar system as it continues its process of forming.
• The Kleeos stumble upon a planet that has developed cellular life, including cave-dwelling humanoid lifeforms.
• Over time, the Kleeos meld with these humanoid's nervous systems.
• Access to the developing humanoids and ways to meaningfully interact with matter allow sapience and intelligence to develop. Ability to separate from the host body retained, despite the dependence.
• Societies and nations develop over massive periods of time.
• Eventually the Kleeos develop FTL with their host bodies and spread out through the stars.
