Rei (otherwise known as Theta 5), is a member of the Vigilant and one of the five affiliated with Project Theta. Her combat role is that of a CQC operative, and is prepared to disable targets in an expedient manner using a variety of tools. Her support role within the squad is unorthodox demolitions, as she is capable of high levels of destruction when augmented by a enraged state.

Appearance

  • She stands at about 6' 5"
  • Being an Ambir she has rough pale brown skin, and dark metallic plates that encase her in a suit of naturally grown armor.
  • Rei's augmentation increase in visibility as they come into use, meaning that the more wrathful she becomes the more obvious the cybernetics appear to be.
  • Her artificial eyes possess a black sclera as well as irises that glow a burning blood red that increase in intensity with her fury.
  • The cyber-berserker's scars are too numerous to count, likely exceeding even Vera's collection.

Personality

The only thing preventing Rei from consuming almost everything around her in white-hot flames is an implant within her temporal lobe that acts as an emotional suppressant. This device, while containing her burning rage is also a double-edged sword, as when the implant is active she is left in a state of irritable depression. Her inability to connect with pretty much anyone doesn't help with this matter, and more often than not leads to further her issues with substance abuse. The only light in the tunnel for this character is Xaene, who rescued her from a life of feral savagery and experimentation at the hands of Grand Order of Avalon scientists.

In addition, her cybernetics are considered experimental when compared to other members of Theta. They can be noted to cause such side-effects as vertigo and mild cases of discomfort, which can lead to insomnia at times. When combined with her frequent night terrors of the time before she became a member of the Vigilant, it's safe to say that she doesn't get much sleep at all.

An example of her public behavior can be aptly described by a single quote:

She's a tired asshole with a fuse shorter than one of the homemade 'fireworks' we used to make back home."
