It is postulated that the Prime Ancestors rose to power between 45 and 98 million years before the current time, rising from small medieval villages into large, organized communities, the first of which being in the central district of Dräk. Studies show that during this period, technology was evolving at a rapid pace, exponentially increasing over smaller portions of time. In translated texts, it is said that during the height of power even the dumbest of children could master the sciences over time, manipulating the world around them.

The Prime Ancestors were the precursor race to the Ilanians, having similar features and are noted for creating Line Installations, Resonance Gates, and the framework for Dräk's Central District.

Disappearance

The Ancestors disappeared in an event known as the Ignition, as a consequence of tampering too greatly with the Veil of Webs.

Legacy

Much of current Ilanian scientists not devoted to the effort of territorial expansion are focused on unlocking the secrets of these cryptic installations, but are making little headway. Ancestral installations are coming back online slowly, with much of Ilanian technology based on the older, lasting work of Ancestor researchers.
