Zarok vel' Nässur is a Phyrexian general of the Phyrexian Coalition, with him being the figurehead of the Kaèlica Party. He is feared among his colleagues on behalf of his brutality.

Early Life

Zarok's childhood and upbringing were extremely troubled. He suffered an abusive father who indulged in the pain of his children; as a result, Zarok was often whipped to the point of the skin on his back breaking, revealing the muscle and drenching him in blood. Zarok's father would even be so severe as to murder Zarok's mother and one of his brothers. However, largely because of an ongoing civil war, he was not incarcerated for this crime. At the point his father attempted to kill his younger brother, Zarok snapped. A conflict resulted between Zarok and his father, ending with Zarok's father impaled on a meat hook. Zarok proceeded to use his own whip against him, lashing him nearly to death. When Zarok decided he had inflicted enough pain, he approached his father and looked him in the eye. This prompted his father to disown him on the spot, proclaiming in no uncertain terms that Zarok wasn't his son. Zarok responded by snapping his father's neck, going on to leave with his brother as he left his house to burn to the ground.

Appearance

Zarok's height reaches 7'8; he weighs 291 pounds. His skin color is green, bearing scars from previous injuries.

Thanks to his own doing, portions of flesh on Zarok's cheeks are missing, revealing his teeth. Zarok rarely takes off his mask, but will sometimes do so, revealing his self-inflicted facial injuries in a bid to make a point or scare his opposition.

Personality

Zarok's demeanor seems rather unstable. In at least one instance, he was recorded to have been perfectly calm and collected for a sparse few moments before gouging a person's eyes out with his bare hands, suddenly, abruptly, and without explanation.

Zarok seems to be more stable when Praetor Anür is nearby him.
