Arcnet Rampancy Event

The Arcnet Rampancy Event occurred early in the Dominion's history, when an experimental sapio-synthetic intelligence escaped firewall containment and self-replicated exponentially. The event was a catastrophe affecting the Dominion of Ilan at every level, and was recovered from with the help of the Ancilla. After the event, the Dominion outlawed and discontinued all research into developing artificial intelligence and turned solely to the Ancilla.
