The CM/XI Boundary is an interdimensional rift that was identified as an active tear in the fabric of space-time by the Empire of Namine.

The Empire of Namine studied the CM/XI Boundary extensively, even using their findings as a basis for the Tearstream mode of FTL travel.

According to Thegalet, many Keilicaela died studying the CM/XI Boundary thanks to its unpredictable, often destructive event horizon.
The Boundary has a field of metal shards surrounding it, which are the remnants from probes and ships that the Empire of Namine sent to study it.
