The Xan'tos was originally a Currai Imperium version of the Aquilae from an alternate universe that crossed the threshold from its original, unknown universe into Universe BR-45327/B. She possesed special weaponry such as oribital bombardment beam emmiters, large ship-to-ship hull-piercing blades, (similar to a Keilicaela weapon in current use) and mass driver kinetic energy weapons. After capture, these weapons were stripped away along with the many other systems the Malevolent had installed in order to make the action of commiting genocide easier. The ship was refitted for use by the Ashderian Regime, and currently serves as the Aquilae's back up.

The Xan'toss weapons are completely different from the Aquilae's. They utilize Ionised Projectile type weapons that were commonly used by Malevolents during the Occupation of Namine. The Ashderian Regime did not have the resources to complete a weapons overhaul that would replace these weapons with the more efficent and powerful, Skreeon-based weapon set. However, they did manage to boost efficiency of the current weapon systems. While her armament is not as powerful as the Aquilae's by far, her firepower is still considerably effective against her targets.
The Xan'toss emphasis on ship-killing has had it armed with enhanced Skreeon-cannons, various Firewasp-launcher emplacements, higher-than-average numbers of torpedo rails, and massive internal magazines.  Plans to arm the ship with heavy beam weaponry similar to the Aquilae's were entertained, but never came to fruition. The vessel is noticeably smaller than the Aquilae, but is still much larger than what is considered average for destroyers or dreadnoughts. The vessel isn't nearly as maneuverable as most Ashderian vessels, but possesses good acceleration and speed capabilities for a vessel of its size.

* Although it has yet to be confirmed, the Xan'tos may have been named after Namine's Xanthros Ocean. If that is the case, it is extremely likely the Xan'tos was constructed on Namine.

The Xan'tos is an Ashderian dreadnought-class ship currently serving the Ashderian Regime under the First Fleet.

Description

The Xan'tos is a dreadnought styled ship designed specifically to kill other large vessels. It's often used to dispatch oppressive firepower upon enemy forces in fleet scenarios, but is more than capable of one-on-one duels with other large capital ships. The vessel places a heavy emphasis on on-board weaponry, not having a traditional hangar and deployment facilities for fighters, bombers or small cruisers. The vessel holds the roll of back-up capital ship for the Aquilae.

Technical Data

The Xan'tos's emphasis on ship-killing has had it armed with enhanced Skreeon-cannons, various Firewasp-launcher emplacements, higher-than-average numbers of torpedo rails, and massive internal magazines.
