Design & Construction

Propulsion and Flight Performance

The Iron Archangel is designed as a delta-wing type spaceplane, with emphasis placed on atmospheric performance. The vessel features four atmosphere-breathing plasma turbo-jets integrated into both wings via nacelles, which allows the ship to propel itself to beyond supersonic speeds in atmosphere. For travel in space, the vessel primarily features a pair of large EM-engines mounted in the rear, and is assisted by various EM thrusters placed around the vessel.

Defenses

The vessel features a pair of semi-retractable 25mm rail-gun autocannon turrets mounted on the rear dorsal and ventral portions of the hull for shooting down incoming ordnance. The vessel also features sensor and scanner jammers, as well as flares and chaff as a last resort to decoy missiles. The vessel can also mount missiles in small bays on the underside of the fuselage to defend against fighters.
