Tykiigron Array
The Tykiigron Array is a defunct Imperium FTL comm-relay located in a nebula orbiting the Burel-5 star. It was the location of Ashreksas's Insanity Hub and the final battle of the Hivemind Crisis.
Construction
The Array is described as being comprised of a tens of large spheres, each 20,000 meters in diameter, linked together with struts. It is often visually compared to the ball-and-stick model of atomic structures. One moderately larger sphere is located deep within the nebula at the Array's center, and is postulated to be the location of its power source. This central sphere was where the Insanity Hub was located.
Functionality
Each sphere is designed to facilitate a fixed number of communication paths within the Imperium comm network, and contains massive quantum computing hardware purpose-built to decode Veil-based FTL communications. This hardware originally decoded FTL comms to a high degree of accuracy through inference, statistical probability distribution, error correction, and biomechanical Veil-communicators. The biomechanical Veil-communicators have long since perished and decayed, leaving the entire system completely non-functional. Until Ashreksas took over the array, it was thought that these systems were completely irreparable by those who studied the array.
