The '''Descendants of Thutria''' were a faction of [[Keilicaela]] created and led by [[Cythrek]] during the [[Occupation of Namine]] in a bid to free the species and [[Namine]] from the rule of the [[Currai Imperium]]. Though the faction, in collaboration with the [[Ashderian Regime|Enlightened Ones]], played a vital role in freeing Namine from the Imperium, the effectiveness of the faction in actually destroying the Imperium (an act the Enlightened Ones were mostly responsible for) is to be disputed, given their lack of manpower and space travel. The Descendants, despite their questionable role in the destruction of the Imperium, are given much credit by modern Keilicaela for Namine's freedom--to the point where Cythrek is nigh-deified.

Cythrek left behind tribal life in the [[Great Sharazdi Desert]] in order to see how the "astray children" of the [[Empire of Namine]] lived and sway them to the Keilicaela's first spiritual practice, long ago rejected and mostly forgotten by the Empire: the [[Cult of Namine|Cult of Namine.]] He traveled to [[Thutria|Thutria,]] where he spent a few years cultivating a following and learning of technology and practices unavailable to his people, such as [[Veil of Webs#Veil Manipulation and Spoofing|Veil manipulation.]] After learning that the Veil of Webs existed, Cythrek became convinced it was possible to see beyond the Veil, which would supposedly reveal the divine remains of the [[Cult of Namine#Creation Myth|Matron Namine]]--the few parts of her body that, according to Sharazdi-sar tradition, were not used to create the planet Namine and all life on it.

The tome would be lost for almost 800 years following this, resurfacing a few decades after 940 PRE. In the decades following 940 PRE, the Compendium wound up in the hands of the [[Ban-José Corporation|Ban-José Corporation.]] All that remains of the Descendants of Thutria is the library of texts they drafted regarding true sight; among the texts is a volume of work Cythrek wrote during his suicide. While the collection of books regarding true sight became instrumental for Imperial Veil researchers and scholars, Cythrek's death-volume is kept under lock and key in an Imperial Cult archive.

The Descendants of Thutria were an esoteric faction of monastic Keilicaela concerned primarily with the nature of the Veil of Webs; primarily, how to see beyond it.

History

The Descendants of Thutria were founded in 40 PRE by their Grandmaster Cythrek, an occult shaman who hailed from a Sharazdi-sar tribe.
