Nymerris is an elementary particle prized by the Waspcaela Empire for its practical use in weapons. In its weaponized form, Nymerris is colloquially referred to as Pulse energy or Pulse particles. Firestorm utilizes Nymerris particles in the Pulse Rifle, which is often considered the epitome of weaponized Nymerris.

Scientific Data

Currently, little is known of Nymerris. As for what is known, it occurs in nebulae (and, presumably, from other sources); it has an extremely destructive nature and flammable tendencies--the latter of which is prominently notable in the Pulse Immolator; the particle itself, at least when integrated into an EPD-platform weapon, gives off a red hue and glows luminously.

History

It is unknown when Nymerris was discovered by the Waspcaela or even when they started weaponizing it; however, given that the basis of much Waspcaela technology is founded upon technologies introduced to Namine by the Currai Imperium, it is possible (though not confirmed) that the Waspcaela adapted it from the Imperium's weaponry, which would, by extension, mean that the Crysek also utilize Nymerris in their own weapons. Furthermore, if it is indeed true that the Currai Imperium or the Crysek Holy Conglomerate found use of weaponized Nymerris, the Waspcaela, through Firestorm, refined the technique of weaponizing the particle to an extent that exponentially dwarfs the now-primitive techniques of either the Imperium or the Holy Conglomerate; Pulse Rifles are markedly stronger than Crysek armaments, which are purportedly only as deadly as Imperium weapons.

It can be inferred that though weaponized Nymerris may have existed since the days of the Occupation of Namine, the Pulse Rifle itself was not realized until some time after the rise of the First Waspcaela Empire; Firestorm was founded under this Empire and therefore the Pulse Rifle could not have been devised before the Empire's fruition.

After the Colony Craze, Firestorm established a collection station within the Sky of Pillars, a nebula rich with Nymerris.
