Rhopalix, a Keilicaela, was the Qualdron Alignment scientist responsible for resurrecting the Corruption before his death in 983 PRE following the events of the Empire-Alignment War.

Post-Empire-Alignment War and Death

After the conclusion of the Empire-Alignment War, the demented scientist took refuge in a bunker underneath the primary citadel of Angen-2. Although it is currently unknown how Rhopalix learned of the existence of the Chalidrytes and the circumstances of the destruction of Universe:526F6F74, he did so and plotted to journey back through time and space to meet the Chalidrytes and "give them back what's theirs", referring to the plane of existence the Root Universe overrode from Universe:526F6F74.

He succeeded in contacting the Chalidrytes and entering Universe:526F6F74 by creating a jury-rigged warp gate. They apparently did not have the patience to listen to Rhopalix's proposal, as he was cast back to his home universe.

Not long after this, Vespid Heterodonyx assigned Avaene Herral and Genosha Herral to assassinate Rhopalix as to "tie up loose ends." Schynid Halrexae transported the two to Angen-2, Rhopalix's last known location to the Empire of Namine. Avaene and Lycaon entered the main citadel where Rhopalix was likely to be taking refuge, but were attacked by a leftover corrupted Keilicaela. Lycaon was left incapacitated by the following scuffle. Avaene left him behind to continue pursuing Rhopalix. After triggering a trap, Avaene was quite literally flung into Rhopalix's lab. With an insane demeanor, Rhopalix activated the makeshift warp gate and transported both he and Avaene to Universe:526F6F74, where the Chalidrytes proclaimed that "the anomalies are worsening," coming to the conclusion that the interlopers were a sign that the end of their universe was drawing nigh.

Avaene was simply thrown through a portal that lead back to his home universe. Rhopalix did not get off so lucky.

Assumedly tired of Rhopalix's repeated intrusions into their realm, the Chalidrytes wrapped him within their tentacles and crushed him to death, leaving only a soupy pile of imploded exoskeleton and internal organs.

Angen-2's Destruction

Rhopalix, although deceased at the point of Angen-2's demise, was responsible for the planet's destruction. His jury-rigged portal malfunctioned, causing a singularity collapse that made the planet implode. Fortunately, Schynid, Avaene, and Lycaon managed to escape before this would happen.
